The aim of the library is to provide information services to meet the needs of the scholarly community and to contribute to society. The Library has a huge collection of books, journals, newsletters, newspapers and other reading material. At present, library's collection comprises of some 20,000 plus books on business, management, accounting, finance, marketing, banking, computer science and many other associated and emerging fields. Materials such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, indexes and abstracts for specific subject areas are also available in the reference collections. A valuable hallmark of library is its collection of 86 volumes of Harvard Business Review. These volumes contain about 1300 research articles logically organized in eight important subject areas.
The library provides improved access via the online catalogue system. For this, Library is using MLIMS (Multi-lingual Library and Information System). With this software, the database is searchable under a number of categories like author, title, subject, heading, publishers, classification etc. To optimize the environment for study and research, the library provides a very comfortable seating arrangement. The efficient and cooperative staff at Library is always at the students' disposal to ensure that readers are provided with an appropriate level of guidance on the use of the Library and its resources.
The students of IBA also enjoy the benefit of Punjab University's Main Library which is enriched with huge collection of knowledge base. The Main Library also provides access to a variety of electronic databases including a comprehensive database of business, management, computer science, and career education journals - many with full text. Network access to PU Library is also available to every student of IBA.
